Some PSN updates: Japanese PSN is crazy! In a very good way!

We don't create that title out of nowhere, we are still excited how Japanese PSN treat its PS Plus members in all around the world, for a reason we will tell you soon! Keep scrolling.

US PSN may win in term of game sale (yeah, under $1 games is hard to beat, we end up spending $10 for several games). But for Plus members, Japanese PSN took the crown as the best PSN this month.

As announced last week by PSN JP (we are late, we know), starting from March 25th until 31st, if you are a JP PSN PS Plus member in that date, in addition to the current IGC, you will get two additional games to play.

And these two games are very popular title:
PS4  Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends 真・三國無双７ with 猛将伝
PS3  Tales of Symphonia Chronicles テイルズ オブ シンフォニア ユニゾナントパック
Go here to claim the games

Both games are Japanese version only unfortunately, so if you don't understand Japanese, these would only have a little use. But, still we have to call this a crazy offer. Since, speaking from our own experience, one month of JP PS Plus only cost you $4.3. We subscribed at March 3rd, just in time to get the February IGC and March IGC. Added with these two new games, we will need to make space for another GB in our consoles.

That's not all. Our 30 days subscription will finish on April 3rd, and the next IGC will live on April 1st, which means we are eligible to claim the games that will be offered next month (and we will claim them of course). We usually let our subscription lapse until we think we need to be a plus member again (normally we lapsed around 50 days).

We don't know yet what the April IGC are, but we predict we will need to do some space management to keep all those games we got by just spending $4.3

Not only that, if you have a JP PSN account and never subscribed their PSPlus before, you can join the 3 months PS Plus for a special price $4.1 (price only valid until 31st).

Deep in our heart, We hope each PSN store are as crazy as Japanese PSN store when they serve the PS Plus members.

PSN JP also have Capcom PS3 Spring Sale ongoing, these are title that interest us:
Street Fighters III 3rd Strike Online edition $6.5 full English support.
Vampire Resurrection $6.5 major parts of the game are in English.
Capcom Fighting Jam $3.5
Capcom vs SNK 2 Millionaire Fighting 2001 $3.5
You can check the whole list here.

Don't forget to check the under $1 Flash sale in US PSN that will expire in a few hours. It is directly after this post. EXPIRED

At last! This is your March 2015 Asian PS Plus IGC. No OlliOlli for Asian PS Plus members though.

UPDATE: We forgot to list Woah! Dave as an IGC for PS Vita. Now it has been added.

Asian PSN at last revealed Instant Game Collection for their PS Plus subscribers all around the world. The line-up is a combination of old and new PS+ IGC, meaning there are nothing new from HK PSN, and they are just trying to keep up with the other region, which is not a bad thing.

The notable title that is absent is OlliOlli, where the prequel is offered in JP PS Plus IGC, and the sequel is on EU/US PS Plus IGC. However, seeing that HK PSN is always trying to catch up with everyone else, we think the title will come in a month or two. Without further ado, see the list for March 2015 Asian PSN IGC below:

• PS4 Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty
• PS4 Valiant Hearts: The Great War
• PS4 CounterSpy

• PS3 Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition
• PS3 Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut
• PS3 CounterSpy

• Vita CounterSpy
• Vita Kick & Fennick
• Vita Woah! Dave

Click here to see the games live on HK PSN. The games will stay until April 8th.

Check out here to see what games is offered for PS Plus members in JP PSN and in US/EU PSN.

If you don't have HK PSN account yet, you can read our tutorial on how to set up a PSN account straight from your PC. The registration is free and open to everyone everywhere in the world, not limited to any nationality or place you live.

Note for Vita/PSTV users, Switching between regions on PS Vita requires a separate Vita Memory Card involving a factory reset on Vita devices. So if your PSN account on your Vita currently is not HK PSN and you are feeling that there is too much hassle to switch, perhaps it is better to wait until the title you want is being offered in your region. Nobody knows when though. If you don't mind switching region, Kotaku has written a detailed tutorial on how to change PSN region on PS Vita, you can check it.

March 2015 IGC line-up for US/EU PS Plus members is no longer a mystery.

UPDATE: EU PSN has announced theirs too, and as usual, their line-up is completely same as US PSN.

It seems this March will be remembered as the first time where PSN US (and perhaps PSN EU too) updates their Instant Games Collection without any announcement, since the new format began post-2014 E3.

But there's no more mystery! The new titles for March 2015 IGC for US (and EU) PS Plus is already out and while it is still not yet revealed by the official PS Blog, it has been noticed by Playstation Lifestyle. So, how exciting are the titles? Actually several games are also offered in JP PSN that was announced several hours ago, so you might not be surprised. Without further ado, these are the titles for PSN US/EU PS Plus subscribers all around the world:

• PS4 Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty
• PS4 Valiant Hearts: The Great War
• PS4 CounterSpy
• PS4 OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood

• PS3 Papo & Yo
• PS3 Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment
• PS3 CounterSpy

• Vita CounterSpy
• Vita OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood

You can grab the games here (US PSN), or here (UK PSN).

Apparently the rumoured title, Helldivers, is not offered as a free to play title this month. That game goes to Spring Fever 2015 Sale in US PSN instead. Also like we predicted, the Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a hoax.

PSN EU is still in silence about their line-up, however, in the past six months the line-up is exactly the same between two region. So we expect PSN EU PS Plus IGC is also the same this month. EU PSN offer the exact same games.

Do these titles excites you? Check out here to see what games is offered for PS Plus members in JP PSN. The first OlliOlli games is currently offered as IGC in PSN JP and it's in English.

If you don't have US PSN account yet, you can read our tutorial on how to set up a PSN account straight from your PC. The registration is free and open to everyone everywhere in the world, not limited to any nationality or place you live.

30 days membership starts at $10 for PSN US, or $8.8 for PSN UK, or $5 for PSN HK, or $4.3 for PSN JP.

You still have time to grab the February IGC from UK PSN here if you haven't done so. No luck for US PSN as the February IGC expired exactly when the March IGC revealed.

You can purchase top-ups for your account from cdkeys and play-asia. See also our guide on how to top up your account from PC.

This is your March 2015 PS Plus IGC from........... PSN JP!

UPDATE: Games has already online. Click here to see them live on JP PSN store.

Unlike its sister stores in US/EU/HK, JP PSN webstore keep consistent and announced its own Instant Game Collection for March 2015. And the leaked photo several days ago has been proven to be true. The list is kind of mix of great and good to us.

Seeing the past of JP PS Plus IGC, it is worthy to note that there are only a small probability that the same game may be offered in US/EU/HK region, even if the game is in English. So cross your finger so that US/EU/HK line-up may surprise us all, in a good way. Let's check out the list. The games will live on March 4th, except for Deadly Premonition which will live on 12th, and will stay for (less than) a month until March 31st.

A rule of thumb, all western Indie games are presumed to have its original English version intact. So if you are getting indie games and don't speak Japanese, chances are you can still play it. Another rule of thumb, all Japanese games that is either Racing, Fighting or Shmup are almost guaranteed to have English menus, although the explanations may be Japanese only.

So, if you are bored with your usual PS Plus IGC offer and want to take advantage of JP PS Plus IGC, the good news is that the JP PS Plus 30 days membership is only cost you $4.3, yes it is the world's cheapest if you are wondering.

And I still keep recommend that today is the best time to subscribe JP PS Plus, since with only $4.3 you are eligible to grab the games from February IGC that you can see here, and also eligible to to claim each games listed above. That's $4.3 for two months worth of IGC.

BBCP and Toukiden confirmed to be your March'15 Japan PS Plus IGC!

UPDATE: No need to read this anymore. The full list for March 2015 Japanese PSN PS Plus IGC is already out. See here. And yes, these two games are legit.

It seems two of the content for March 2015 IGC for Japanese PS Plus members all around the world are leaked. We don't know if this is real or not but it seems the picture is legit enough, it is said to come from a pamphlet (brochure) given in a store and has been snapped and uploaded on Twitter universe. Moreover, there are several gamers' blog in Japan such as this one and this one that are talking about it.

If this information is true, then we got several confirmations from the picture.

1. One of the game for PS Vita is an Action RPG titled Toukiden: The Age of Demons, and the version offered is the "PSVita the best". This game is Japanese only. Source.
2. One of the game for PS3 is a fighting game BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (most blog predict it is for PS3, while we can't see it clearly in the photo, it seems it is for PS3 due to the lack of space as in "PS Vita", and this version of the game is not available on PS4). No language information about this game, so expect Japanese only.
3. The April 2015 Japanese PS Plus IGC will live on April 1st.

If you can't read Japanese, BlazBlue is a great offer since a fighting game doesn't really need any Japanese language proficiency.

For US/EU PSN, we heard some rumours about an Indie game titled Helldivers is one of the crossbuy offer for March 2015 IGC. No matter how convincing the probability is, we only treat this as rumour. Expect the goodies for US/EU PSN to be revealed in this week. Stay tuned.

Interested to take advantage? If you are not a Japanese PSN member yet, the good news is it is open to everyone all over the world, you don't have to be Japanese or living in Japan to be a member, and its 30 days PS+ subscription is the world's cheapest at only 514 Yen or $4.33! The bad news is that the store is only in Japanese, so click here to read our tutorial on how to set up a JP PSN account straight from your PC. See also our guide on how to top up your account from PC. And just in time, Play-Asia.com have a lucky draw until Feb 25th if you buy JP PSN top-up vouchers from their site, you might have a chance to win a Metal Slime PS4 console.

To purchase Plus membership, go here for US, UK, HK, or JP PSN.

30 days membership starts at $10 for PSN US, or $8.9 for PSN UK, or $5 for PSN HK, or $4.3 for PSN JP.

If you were live on PSN sub-account before, you can now upgrade your sub-account into master account, after your age turned 18. See this blog post for detail.
