What to buy with 10% code in JP/HK PSN? We have some recommendation.


NOTE: While the games we have listed do not carry any price changes and still valid, the 10% discount code for Japan and Asian region has expired.


Unlike American PSN which has Square Enix and 2K Sale, or European PSN with their Digital Discount and their own 2K sale, HK and JP PSN has not yet preparing any sale in time with the 10% code activation. This is a little bit unfortunate since their code are the first that going active from the rest of the world, see the time conversion below. However it doesn't mean you can't take any advantage from these stores, we try to list what attracted us and we hope it attracted you too. Of course the list is not final, we will add more if both PSN store suddenly have game sales.

PSN JP/KR 10% discount code is valid to use from 00:00 23rd GMT+9, exactly since 3PM London Time and 7AM PST today.

The code for Asian PSN is one hour late than PSN Japan/Korea, both its starting and expiry time.

You need top-ups to purchase your games. You can purchase top-ups for your account from sites such as play-asia or pcgamesupply. See also our guide on how to top up your account from PC.

Without further ado, here are some titles that interest us from HK and JP store, all games are for PS3 unless noted otherwise. Classic games are also playable on PSP, Vita, PSTV. Titles with an * are dedicated PS3 games. All prices are before discount.

HK PSN
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon* US$6.5 PS Plus price, currently $15 on US and $18.2 on UK PSN.
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition* US$8.5 100% in English.

Basically we are suggesting the classic games since it seems HK and JP PSN are better in this department than US and UK PSN, we did check US PSN (and sometimes UK PSN) and we only list classic games that was not found in US PSN or was much more expensive when we searched it, of course we might have some error when we did the check, so we also advice you to check US/UK PSN first before purchasing.

For JP PSN, we only list the games that is either Fighting, Smhup or Racing genre, since most of these are not requiring any Japanese-language proficiency.
