Capcom has announced that American and European PSN will receive their own Resident Evil Remastered in 6 weeks: January 20th, 2015.
Both PS4 and PS3 version are priced at $19.99 for US PSN and £15.99/€19.9 for European PSN. The price for US PSN is certainly the cheapest (for now, since Asian PSN hasn't up in the game yet) compared even to the Japanese price tag 3990 Yen ($33.6). So unless you want to play it right now on your PS3, it's cheaper to wait until its release on US PSN. And in the meantime, if you don't have US PSN account yet, you can set up a new US PSN account. The registration is free and open to everyone everywhere in the world. And you can start to top-up your account with top-ups from play-asia or pcgamesupply.
More information, this game will be released as digital title in the west, which probably means no Bluray release ever. Nevertheless the PS3 Bluray version is already available online. Even the Asian Bluray version is renamed with English title "Resident Evil" (Japanese called it Biohazard) complete with English manual.
